It’s important to keep children stimulated both physically and mentally to ensure healthy development in their formative years, so utilise the tailored recreational facilities at Precious Memories Day Nursery.
Based in Brixton, London our day nursery provides separate facilities for babies, toddlers, and children prepared for preschool, with each of our 3 rooms specifically created to ensure your child is receiving the right care at the right time in their development.
The Robin Room caters for children between the ages of 3 months to 24 months, with the aim to promote confidence and independence under the watchful eye of our fully qualified staff.
The room is set up on a low level so that the children can safely reach toys, with a wide range of sensory toys and activities selected to ignite their curiosity and promote learning and development.
Our staff observe every individual child to learn their individual interests and provide support, with our learning programme ensuring your child’s prime areas are also being developed. Our facilities provide hygienic changing areas, individual sleeping mats for afternoon rest, and direct access to a specially equipped garden laid with artificial grass to ensure that it is safe and secure for all children.
The Sparrow Room is suitable for children aged between 24 months and 36 months and is divided into several play areas, each designed to stimulate various areas with a lot of free play.
At this stage children are naturally very curious, our educators will support them and build their confidence, critical thinking, and perseverance to be successful in their learning and development.
Our book corner has soft toys and cushions to provide a quiet area for children to rest and learn. We promote independence in their care routine with direct access to a specially equipped bathroom with child-appropriate toilet cubicles, as well as access to a garden to promote their physical skills.
Our Nightingale Room is fully equipped with EYFS-and Montessori-inspired activities, to prepare every child for school in all seven areas of learning and development.
Preparing children for a school environment is vital, we follow a daily routine to help them develop social skills, be independent, confident, and take responsibility for taking care of themselves. We encourage our children to wash their hands before meals and after playing in the garden, using child-friendly utensils to cut their fruit and veg for snack times, and tidying up their toys.
Independent reading is encouraged in our book corner, stimulating their interest in learning more about the natural world, different cultures, and backgrounds. The room has direct access to the garden, encouraging free play inside and outside, as well as direct access to child-appropriate toilet cubicles.
